Emotional intelligence plays an important role in supporting the holistic development of students, particularly in managing emotions, forming social relationships, and strengthening character. However, existing studies on emotional intelligence in Islamic education tend to discuss psychological and moral dimensions separately, leaving a gap in the integration of emotional, spiritual, and moral dimensions into a comprehensive framework for student development. This study aims to analyze emotional intelligence from an Islamic perspective as well as its implications for student development. The research uses a qualitative approach with a library research type through a review of various academic sources, such as books, scientific journals, previous studies, the Qur'an, and hadiths relevant to emotional intelligence and Islamic education. Data collection techniques are carried out through document studies, while data analysis uses content analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research results show that emotional intelligence from an Islamic perspective includes the ability to control emotions, self-awareness, empathy, as well as social skills integrated with spiritual and moral values. Emotional intelligence has implications for the academic, social, psychological, and moral development of students through improved self-control, communication skills, empathy, and emotional stability. Furthermore, the integration of Islamic values such as patience, sincerity, compassion, and responsibility can strengthen students' emotional and spiritual maturity. Therefore, emotionally intelligent education based on Islamic values needs to be integrated into education to support the optimal development of students.
