This study aims to examine the concept and implementation of an integrative approach in language and literature learning in the global era. The integrative approach is seen as a solution to overcome the partial learning process between linguistic and literary aspects. The method used in this study is a literature review by examining various scientific sources in the form of journals, books, and relevant previous research results. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify the concepts, characteristics, and implementation strategies of the integrative approach. The results show that the integrative approach is able to combine language skills, literary understanding, and cultural context in a holistic learning unit. In addition, this approach also contributes to improving higher-order thinking skills, cultural literacy, and 21st-century skills such as creativity, communication, and collaboration. The implementation of the integrative approach can be done through various strategies, such as the integration of language skills, the use of literary works, the use of technology, project-based learning, and authentic assessment.
