Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics Statement

The publication ethics of the Journal of Educational and Practice are based on the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

The primary objective of publication ethics is to maintain scientific integrity, ensure academic honesty, and prevent any form of plagiarism or research misconduct.

Authors’ Responsibilities

  1. Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original works and have not been published elsewhere in any form.

  2. All sources used in the research must be properly acknowledged and cited in the references.

  3. Authorship should include only those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study.

  4. Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously (no multiple submissions).

  5. Authors should be willing to revise and improve their manuscripts based on reviewers’ or editors’ feedback.

  6. Data presented in the manuscript must be accurate, honest, and verifiable.

  7. If authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must promptly inform the editor to retract or correct the paper.

Editors’ Responsibilities

  1. Editors are responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and scientific merit of every published article.

  2. Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual and academic content, without discrimination based on the author’s gender, ethnicity, religion, or political views.

  3. Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and must not use any part of them for personal advantage.

  4. Editors ensure that the peer review process is fair, objective, and completed within a reasonable timeframe.

  5. Editors have full authority to accept, revise, or reject manuscripts based on the reviewers’ evaluations and editorial policy.

  6. Editors must ensure that all publication decisions comply with ethical and copyright standards.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities

  1. Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help improve the quality of manuscripts through constructive feedback.

  2. Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use any information for personal benefit.

  3. Reviews should be conducted objectively and fairly, providing clear and evidence-based arguments.

  4. Reviewers must have no conflicts of interest with the authors or the research.

  5. Reviewers should identify potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, or methodological weaknesses in the manuscript.
