About the Journal
SAMARA INSANI: Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law, Family and Economic Studies is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that serves as an academic platform for the development and dissemination of research in the fields of Islamic law, Islamic family law (ahwal al-syakhshiyyah), and Islamic economic law within both Indonesian and global contexts. The journal encourages critical, analytical, and interdisciplinary studies that examine legal principles derived from Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) while engaging with contemporary legal, economic, social, and cultural developments.
Published twice a year in April and October, the journal accepts original research articles, conceptual studies, and normative as well as empirical legal research contributed by academics, researchers, legal practitioners, and policy analysts. The journal seeks to advance the study of Islamic law by connecting classical Islamic jurisprudential traditions with modern legal systems, judicial practices, economic institutions, and broader societal transformations, particularly in the areas of family law and Islamic economic activities.
Through a rigorous peer-review process and continuous academic dialogue, SAMARA INSANI: Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law, Family and Economic Studies aims to become an important forum for scholarly discussion and the development of fair, contextual, and responsive Islamic legal thought at both national and international levels.
